BMM a Success at CasinoFest7
Las Vegas, USA - September 24, 2008
BMM Compliance, the world’s leading gaming compliance test lab and services company, announced their successful participation at CasinoFest 7 held September 8th-10th at Pechanga Resort in Temecula California.
“I was delighted to see BMM Compliance again on the agenda of the latest CasinoFest event. The professionals at BMM Compliance are top flight and they again demonstrated that fact in September. The BMM team’s breadth and depth of knowledge is surpassed only by their approachability and willingness to engage in constructive and instructive debate about issues ranging from big-picture regulatory policies to the intricacies of auditing a casino floor,” said Michael Shirek, associate editor of Casino Enterprise Management magazine.
BMM held two comprehensive training sessions at CasinoFest 7: “System Audit Essentials”; and “Server-Based Gaming Essentials”, under the leadership of Russell Witt, Director of Field Services, and Ken Golda, Director of Technical Compliance. The first focused on Slot Accounting Systems, while the second provided an overview and outlook for Server-based Technology – as well as training on the most critical aspects of Server-based Gaming and System Security.
In addition, Witt and Golda held two panel discussions: “Technical Training for Tribal Regulators: Knowledge = Empowerment”; and “IGRA 20 Years Later”. The panels featured distinguished members of Tribal Gaming including Michael Lombardi, Chairman of the Augustine Gaming Commission, Barbara Kyser-Collier Executive Director of the Quapaw Gaming Commission and many others.
“We really enjoyed being part of CasinoFest 7; we had a lot of participation at our sessions, and the feedback was very positive. We’re already looking forward to next year’s shows,” said Witt.
BMM’s Senior Vice President of Engineering Services, Rich Williamson, also moderated on the panel for “Promulgation of Gaming Regulations”, which focused on development and implementation of gaming regulations in the US marketplace and the various jurisdictional approaches to adopting regulations.
“BMM is in the unique position of being able to view regulatory requirements from both the regulator’s and manufacturer’s perspectives,” said Williamson.
Following the event, Martin Storm, President and CEO of BMM Compliance said, “BMM was pleased be involved in CasinoFest7 as both a catalyst for thought leadership and a practical business training forum for tribal gaming.”
